Interaction between Ruthenium complex and crown ether

Crown ether and Ruthenium complex with amino group make aggregation by hydrogen bond between O atom of the crown ether and H atom of amino group.
This aggregation shows different property in UV-Vis spectrum, electrochemical behavior and NMR spectrum.
Based on basic data such as the strength of the hydrogen bond and the stability of the bond, we investigate the aggregation.
Controle of the property by formation of the aggregation

New dinuclear complex would be constructed by linking complex A and conmplex B. If the complex A react to an external stimulus and the complex B shows special property, the dinuclear complex shows the special property which could controle by the external stimulus.
Based on the theory, we research the dinuclear complex shows the special property which could controle by the crown ether.

We try to synthesis thermochromic/vapochromic/electrochromic complexes, and investigate their properties.

Due to global warming and lack of fossil fuel, renewable energy such as solar energy and wind energy is attracted. Output of these energy would depend on weather; threfore, they could not produce energy constantly.
We can convert the renewable energy to chemical energy as hydrogen, and can store hydrogen, and can produce electrical energy from hydrogen without harmful waste. For this strategy, we need a efficient catalyst complex for the electrochemical hydrogen production
Our Laboratry also try to develop a transition metai complex as the catalyst.
